What began in Cardiff in 2015 as Chef Krish’s desire to share the food of his heritage has grown into an award-winning South Indian kitchen with a following far beyond Wales. Inspired by the vibrant food, culture and flavours of Kerala,  Keralan Karavan bring Indian recipes and techniques together with a contemporary, creative twist - creating food that is rooted in authenticity but never afraid to have a little fun. From rich, aromatic curries and classics to bold street food creations, every dish is freshly prepared, bringing together the vibrant flavours, spices and ingredients of India.

Over the years, their journey has taken them from pop-ups and kitchen takeovers to street food festivals, supper clubs, private events and kitchens across Wales and beyond. Along the way, they’ve been named Welsh Street Food Champions, won Best Sandwich and the People’s Choice Award at the British Street Food Awards, and been recognised as Best Street Food in Cardiff. In 2026, Chef Krish was named Street Food Chef of the Year at the prestigious Craft Guild of Chefs Awards - recognition that celebrates not only his creativity and skill, but the growing appreciation for regional Indian food on the British food scene.
